
Black Mental Health Matters 5K WALK & Resource Fair
We will kick the day off with a rally and walk across the city of Rochester with the Prude family to raise awareness for Black Mental Health and honor Daniel Prude’s life.

Coalition members are primarily organizations and some individual organizers who are working on a campaign or providing services for those impacted by any aspect of the criminal justice system, and aligns with the coalition mission and principles. Others who align with our principles but don’t fall into one of these categories are welcome to work with the coalition in various capacities, but can’t be listed as official members.

Join us at any time throughout the day in making calls and tweeting your representatives, Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins, and Assembly Speaker Heastie to ask for their support in passing Daniel’s law.
Join directly impacted panelists, community organizers, and co-sponsoring organizations to break down Daniel’s Law legislation. We will open the floor for questions, discussion, and share action items to get the law passed.
Join lobby meetings with Legislators across the state to advocate for the passage of Daniel’s Law. For community members who have never met with legislators before we will kick off the day with a short training and community gathering.
New York State Senators and Assembly members will be holding a public hearing to receive testimony on New York’s mental health crisis service delivery system, as well as recommendations for policies for improving the response to mental health crises in the community.
Join New York State Legislators, community organizers, and the Prude family in kicking off Daniel’s Law Advocacy week and sharing their support for the passage of the bill.
