On Monday, March 15, at 7:00pm, the Buffalo #HALTSolitary group is screening Mariposa & the Saint. This is a superb play, mostly consisting of letters written by a woman (“Mariposa”) in solitary in a California prison to Julia Steele Allen, a performance artist. When the play was presented live in Buffalo a few years ago, it had a deep impact on everyone who came. Now Julia has had a video made of one of the performances. The play runs about 50 minutes, and will be followed by about 20 minutes of discussion in small groups. If you have not seen the play performed, this screening is not to be missed!
